Rework Product Import

Currently the product import is a very confusing process (well imports in general are confusing but especially the product one). With that being said this enhancement will contain the following changes:

Add helpful tips and explanations on what is required for users when completing their import
The option to replace all inventory with a new file or append/update current inventory
Updating the import template to show examples of what the data should look like to help users complete their import
If there is a problem with the import the exact cell (row and column) will be displayed to the user as to what needs to be resolved.

Finally! The ability to mass delete all products within your inventory list is here! You may look at the product list and wonder why you don't see any difference. That's because this feature can be found within the import functionality. We didn't want you accidentally deleting inventory and not being able to get that data back. So you can easily delete your inventory now by clicking on the import button on the product screen found just to the right of the search bar. A pop-up will appear allowing you to upload a file and use the import template.

Available functionality:

You can export your inventory list, make changes and reupload

You can use the import template as a clean slate to get started with your initial products

You can use the import to add a group of new products to your existing inventory

With all of those options, you also have the ability to delete all inventory and replace it with the inventory that you have uploaded to the import. So that clean slate you were looking for is now a reality! If you aren't sure what the product page is or why you don't see it, simply install the Retail app from the Apps page within mxmerchant.com
